2. Personal Data We Collect

When you join the Fastro waitlist, we collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Full name — to identify your waitlist submission.
  • Email address — to notify you about your onboarding status.
  • Phone number — to communicate order and account updates.
  • General location (city or area) — to prioritise onboarding in your region.
  • Waitlist role — whether you are registering as a vendor or delivery rider, so we can tailor onboarding.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases under the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) Article 2.1:

4. Retention Period

Waitlist data is held for a maximum of 12 months from the date of submission, or until you are onboarded as an active Fastro account, whichever occurs first.

If your waitlist entry has not converted to an active account within 12 months, your personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems.

If you are onboarded into the Fastro platform, your data will then be subject to the retention periods applicable to active accounts (see Section 6 below).

5. Your Rights — Withdrawal and Deletion

Under the NDPR and Fastro's data commitments, you have the following rights at any time:

  • Withdraw consent — you may withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Request deletion — you may request that we permanently delete all personal data we hold about you. We will action this request within 30 days.
  • Access and portability — you may request a copy of the data we hold about you in a portable format.
  • Rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@fastroapp.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request". Active Fastro account holders may also request deletion directly from within the app (see the in-app account deletion flow, per R-CPH-18).

6. Additional Data Collected at Onboarding

When you complete onboarding and create an active Fastro account, we collect additional categories of personal data necessary to operate the platform. These may include:

  • Order history — details of orders placed, accepted, or delivered through the platform.
  • Real-time and historical location — for riders, to enable dispatch and delivery tracking.
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) information — government ID, facial verification, and business documents required by regulatory obligations for vendors and riders.
  • Financial data — bank account or payment information for payout processing.

Full details of data handling for active accounts will be provided in an updated privacy policy at the time of onboarding.
